Majid Iravani

Majid resizedI am an Associate Research Scientist with the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI). I am currently collaborating with the Watershed Science and Modelling Laboratory on two ongoing research projects: “Predicting Alberta’s water future-PAWF” and “Predicting water related risks and opportunities for Alberta’s beef industry”. I am involved with setting up spatially explicit process-based models to assess current and future status of forage production in Alberta. Specifically, I am involved with assessing risks and opportunities due to future climatic changes and alternative land management practices for forage production in Alberta’s native ranges and cultivated grasslands (tame pastures, hay lands).
