37824-1Hey Everyone! My name is Derek Hayes and I’m the President of P.S. Warren this year. I’m in my 4th and final year of geology, focussing on the soft rock side of things. I spent last summer in Calgary working for Cenovus, so I was able to get out to the mountains to hike and camp a lot. Hopefully we can meet a lot of new people and have a great year together!

We have lots of exciting events ahead of us and I can’t wait to start another year of adventures with all of my fellow rock lovers!

I have been fortunate to spend the last two summers interning for Tourmaline Oil Corp. and ConocoPhillips, respectively, and I hope to continue my experience in petroleum exploration post-graduation. Outside of geology I love hiking, horseback riding, and traveling. Feel free to email me at chay@ualberta.ca with any concerns.
