DIF houses 4 types of scanners:

  • slide scanners
  • flatbed scanners
  • multifunction printer
  • large document scanner

Nikon Coolscan 5000 & 9000 (slide scanners)

The Nikon Coolscan 5000 & 9000 are high resolution scanners capable of scanning film materials, such as film strips and slides.
We modified the film strip holder to hold standard-size thin sections, which allows us to scan such sections at 4000 dots-per-inch (dpi) resolution.

Read more about scanning thin sections in our Case Studies & Tutorial section.
