Opportunities for PhD and MSc students are usually available in the principal research areas of Team Diamond:
- Systematic studies on diamonds and their mineral inclusions from deposits in Canada and worldwide
- The evolution of cratonic roots (the origin of cratonic peridotites and eclogites)
- The Canadian Center for Isotopic Microanalysis with its multi-collector ion microprobe (Cameca IMS1280) allows for in situ analysis of stable and radiogenic isotopes at high spatial resolution. This provides unique opportunities for graduate projects employing stable isotopes to explore the formation of diamonds and the origin and evolution of cratonic roots
