Xinzhong Du

I have joined the Watershed Science and Modelling Laboratory (WSML) at the University of Alberta as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in August 2018. Prior that I worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Athabasca University and Jackson State University.  I received my PhD in January 2015 from Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In addition, I hold a B.E. (2008) and M.eng. (2011) Degree in hydrology and water resources engineering. I am a watershed hydrology and water quality modeler and my research work includes both model developments and applications. I use SWAT and GWLF model to simulate watershed hydrology and water quality processes. For model developments, I have developed SWAT model for simulating stream temperature (https://www.hydrol-earth-syst-sci.net/22/2343/2018/hess-22-2343-2018.htmlv ), organic carbon, PAHs and heavy metals. I have modeling experiences for simulating different watersheds in three different countries including Canada, United States of America and China.
