Dr. Monireh Faramarzi is now a guest editor for the The Special Issue of the Sustainability Journal titled:

“Modeling Human–Environment Feedbacks for Sustainable Water Resources Management”.

The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2021.

We invite contributions that focus on new modelling approaches or innovative applications of existing models for sustainable water resources management which explicitly couple different subsystems and represent feedbacks within catchments or river systems.

Sustainability would like to grant special discounts (20-50%) to high-profile experts’ research works.

More information can be found in the flyer below. Looking forward to your contributions!

WSML will have a session in the upcoming CGU 2020 annual meeting in Banff, AB from May 3rd – 6th for the special topic:

H.6: Coupled representation of natural-human water systems: Integration of land and hydrological processes into socioeconomic decisions.”

The deadline for abstract submissions is Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

We invite contributions that offer novel modelling approaches for representing feedback processes between and within natural and anthropogenic components of the water system. Potential topics include but not limited to:

   – Water demand and supply considering agro-hydrological and crop growth processes, management practices, runoff generation, glacier and snow accumulation-melt, nutrient and chemical load-transport processes.

  – Virtual water trade discriminating between blue, green, and greywater resources.

  – Coupling natural and anthropogenic drivers of change in human-water systems and assessing their vulnerability to changing conditions.

More details can be found in the session proposal. Submission topics are encouraged to have a broad range.  Looking forward to your contribution.
